Mr. Wolters mainly counsels retail and institutional investors regarding the rescission of defaulted capital investments. He has a comprehensive range of counselling subjects – from participations in closed-end and open-end investment funds to the acquisition of structured investment products such as certificates. On the basis of his long standing counselling and litigation experience, Mr. Wolters regularly wins proceedings regarding fundamental legal questions. Moreover, Mr. Wolters counsels small and medium sized firms in distributive and regulatory matters. In the field of private building law Mr. Wolters represents firms from the construction industry in the enforcement of their claims. In addition to his work as a lawyer Mr. Wolters writes numerous contributions for legal journals (directly to Publications).
Martin Wolters, born in 1964, studied law and did his legal clerkship in Trier. Since completion of his legal education in 1994, Mr. Wolters has been working as a lawyer for mzs lawyers (at that time still called “Kortländer & Partner”) and is now a partner of our law firm. Since the end of 2008 Mr. Wolters has been holding the title „Fachanwalt für Bank- und Kapitalmarktrecht“ (officially certified specialist lawyer for banking and capital markets law). This title was introduced by the federal bar association at the beginning of 2008 to certify particular knowledge and experience in this field of law.
